PURCHASED ARTWORK

Your right to cancel:

You can cancel your order within a period of seven working days, starting the day after you receive the goods.  Cancellation must be notified in writing (letter or email) within this time.  Goods should be returned in their original condition within fourteen days of receipt.  Artwork must be returned in original packaging or equivalent and by a guaranteed delivery service (courier or registered mail).  Glazed works must be sent by courier.

Refunds:

If you change your mind and cancel under the terms above, refunds will be made in the form of the original payment (cheque or PayPal) upon receipt of the returned goods in good condition.  Please note I do not pay the costs of returning goods in these circumstances.

Faulty or damaged artwork:

Please notify in writing within seven days of receipt.  Please retain the original packaging which will be required in the event of a claim against the carrier.  Photographic evidence may also be requested.  Artwork will be refunded in the form of the original payment.

Delivery:

Framed artwork can be delivered only within the UK.  Delivery of artwork to the UK mainland is free.  Unframed work only can be delivered overseas to minimise potential damage. If an artwork is already framed I will arrange to have it unframed for overseas delivery and this will obviously result in a reduction in overall price.  Deliveries outwith the UK can be arranged at additional cost - please contact me beforehand for price. 

I aim to deliver artwork within 5 working days of receipt of payment, however, late delivery is sometimes unavoidable and will not form a breach of contract. 

These terms do not affect consumers' statutory rights.

COMMISSIONED ARTWORK

Price:

A price will be agreed between the artist and client prior to work starting on the commission.  This price may be subject to change if the client subsequently changes their requirements or conditions.

Deposit:

Work will not commence until receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the agreed unframed price is received.  If framing is required, payment will be required before framer is instructed. 

Payment of balance:

The balance of the painting plus any additional costs such as delivery are payable upon completion.   If the piece is to be collected or delivered in person then payment can be made at this time, otherwise full payment is required before dispatch, which will not take place until payment has cleared.

Image approval:

The client will be able to approve an image of the artwork prior to final payment via e-mail.

COPYRIGHT

Copyright for artworks remains with the artist unless specifically assigned by separate agreement.
